Each room evokes the ambience of the past without foregoing the convenience of the present. The feel throughout is that of a small luxury hotel with personal service to match. Modern appointments, placed discreetly, do not intrude on the rooms period decor. Each of the nine guest rooms has a unique personality, however they all have ironed sheets, private bath, flat screen television, DVD player and air conditioning. Three have wood burning fireplaces and there is free Wi-Fi. Spend an evening, relaxing by the fireplace, watching television, or taking a bath in a deep porcelain tub. Begin each day with a specially cooked three course Vermont gourmet breakfast including a fresh fruit plate, croissant or scone and cooked to order three egg omelets or pancakes with Vermont maple syrup and bacon, sausage or ham. Rates range from $150 to $290 per night midweek and $175 to $335 per night on weekends. Peak and foliage rates are $35 to $40 higher depending on the room. Special celebrations and romance are always in season at The Lilac Inn.

We are pet friendly and accept well behaved dogs with a $35 fee per stay. Make your own special romantic Vermont memories with a dozen roses, box of Lake Champlain Chocolates and bottle of method champenoise for $75 with any two night reservation. Or, celebrate with Vermont's unique localvor food heritage with a bottle of red wine, cheese and crackers for $60 with any two night reservation.

The original master suite is one of our most popular rooms and has been highlighted in Yankee and Country Inns Magazines.
